Le Jardin du Mail
Where nature and history come together...
Located in the heart of town, on the very spot where the Château de Cholet once stood, the Jardin du Mail is more than simply a green space - it's a reminder of Cholet's history. About 150 years after they were planted, these gardens have become a favourite destination for locals of all ages in search of a bit of R'n'R - as well as being an attractive place for tourists. The benches and lawns do look very inviting...

Le Parc de Moine
This park gets its name from the river that runs alongside it.
Almost 18 acres of greenery make this park a real 'green lung' for the town of Cholet and a very popular place for local people to meet up.
It's also a place for sporting get-togethers, with joggers and pétanque players rubbing shoulders with those who have come to use the football pitches or basketball courts, the stadium, the skatepark or to go to the GlisséO sports and leisure centre.
A unique place to visit for a breath of fresh air and a break from city life.

Maulévrier Oriental Garden
The biggest Japanese garden in Europe.
A visit to this Oriental Garden is like stepping into a Far Eastern oasis of beauty and tranquillity - yet it's only a few miles from Cholet. Enjoy a perfect Zen moment!
The Oriental Garden used to belong to the Château Colbert de Maulévrier, now a hotel and restaurant, and its exceptional beauty has turned it into one of the region's foremost attractions with over 80,000 visitors a year.
